A pair of MANDARIN DUCK are wintering on Beaconsfield M40 Services Lake, while up to 20 remain at Burnham Beeches NNR Middle Pond and a similar number at Black Park Country Park....

A bumper December at HEDGERLEY LANDFILL
It has been an excellent December at Hedgerley Landfill, just east of Beaconsfield, with an excellent selection of large white-headed gulls being recorded - up to 800 on some visits. Although predominantly Scandinavian Herring Gulls in attendance, up to 95 Great Black-backed have been recorded, a handful of Lesser Black-backed, no less than 5 different CASPIANS, an adult YELLOW-LEGGED and single juvenile GLAUCOUS (on 13th-17th) and ICELAND (29th)
EGYPTIAN GEESE: a new county record
On 10 December 2015, I recorded no less than 319 EGYPTIAN GEESE at Castleman's Farm, Wooburn Common, the highest single gathering ever recorded in Buckinghamshire
